Recognize the limits of peer practice

The complete text is available below. Search, saving resources, and partner-practice tools require JavaScript.

Recognize a safety concern, stop the role-play if needed, and name the need for qualified assessment and local procedures. Peer drills do not rehearse crisis management.

What it might sound like

“I want to pause this exercise. This needs appropriate support and a qualified assessment.”

A common slip

Treating a peer exercise as preparation to manage a real crisis alone.

Across approaches

The purpose and timing depend on the formulation, relationship, and model. Follow a guide for its particular use rather than treating the wording as a universal script.
